India is an economically powerful country, but there are still many deep-rooted cultural and social barriers that prevent families receiving the aid that they need. Jason is thirteen years old, and comes from a very disadvantaged background. His mother and father, unmarried, did not wish to care for him, so his grandparents took it upon themselves to raise him. On such a low income, this became more and more difficult as the grandparents grew older. They made the mutual decision to bring him to Cornerstone Children’s Home, where he has been enjoying a more enriching childhood under the care of generous volunteers. He enjoys playing with electronics, and at Big Hug Foundation we are doing everything we can to help him fulfil his dream of becoming a policeman.
