Praveen is an only child who lost his mother to cancer when he was just eleven years old. At such a young age, this was a distressing time for him, and he needed the full support of his remaining family. Instead, however, his father abandoned him and married a woman who had no interest in caring for Praveen.
In 2011, with the help of Big Hug Foundation, Praveen found a new family at Cornerstone Children’s Home, where generous volunteers are educating and caring for him attentively. Now aged fifteen, he is an extremely mature, thoughtful child, who is always willing to help others. He loves playing cricket, and hopes to become a ship captain when he’s older.
