Kritika

Kritika joined Cornerstone Children’s Home with her sister, Nandini, in 2010. They come from an extremely destitute family, with a father who is mentally unstable. Due to the lack of support in India, Kritika’s mother spends all her time and money caring for and supporting her husband, and does not have the means to support her daughters’ futures. Kritika and her sister’s education was suffering, as they did not have access to adequate educational services or materials.

Since joining Cornerstone, both girls are studying hard, and enjoying a much healthier lifestyle. Now eleven years old, Kritika enjoys skipping, and wants to be a social worker when she grows up, while her sister hopes to become an Olympic athlete. Your support through our Sponsor a Child scheme will enable Kritika to continue her education and pave the way for a fulfilling adult life.  Meanwhile, the Big Hug Foundation is working closely with the Cornerstone Trust in India to help improve Kritika’s parents’ situation.

Hear from a BHF Donor

"The Big Hug Foundation is a great charity making all it's well wishers feel involved. They run great events every year to raise money for a charity where 98% of the money goes directly to the cause. This really makes a difference to the donor as you know exactly what your money is being spent on. You can really see the difference you are making from regular news updates, reports and pictures of happy children!"
