Rithik Kumar

Rithik Kumar came to Cornerstone Children’s Home with his younger brother, Karthikeyan, in 2011. Their parents separated due to an affair, and since their father was no longer interested in supporting them, their mother was forced to raise them alone. With barely any income, she was under an insurmountable amount of pressure. Soon enough, stress turned into depression, and depression into despair, before she finally resorted to suicide. The boys were left without any guardians, and since their grandparents were too old to care for them, they were admitted into the Cornerstone home.

Since arriving at the orphanage, both boys have excelled in their studies. Rithik Kumar dreams of becoming a policeman, while his brother wants to become a scientist. They regularly visit their grandparents, but have not heard from their father in several years. Volunteers at Cornerstone are doing their best to encourage, educate, and inspire the boys, so that they can develop the confidence and skills required to thrive in the outside world.

Hear from a Big Hug Sponsor

"I found that the young founder, Natasha Mansigani to be highly professional and dynamic and was blown away by her purpose to make a difference at such a tender age herself. The level of attention and communication from Natasha is first class and I was encouraged by her desire to act and set up the Big Hug Foundation. I wish her and the foundation continued success and will continue to support their sponsor a child scheme."
